Not an official Alice Cooper release – This limited edition album was professionally produced and sold online on CD and vinyl, however it was not an official release by Alice Cooper but by a label called Easy Action, meaning that you won’t see this on any Alice Cooper discography. It claims to be an FM broadcast however I doubt this. It was most likely made from the official tapes recorded by Harley Sound at the festival that were given to some bands. In other words, I believe the real story of this recording is exactly the same as the story of the ELP Mar Y Sol tapes. But, what do I know?
Missing song – For some very strange reason this album lacks the very last song of the set, an instrumental version of “School’s Out”. The good news is that at least it was released by Alice Cooper on the boxed set “Old School: 1964–1974″ (2011). Why he chose to release that song over any of the other great songs from the Mar Y Sol set is something I will never understand. But then again, I’m so happy these recordings exist that I really have no complains.
